Dem Congressman In Bed With Terrorists?

Illinois Congressman Danny Davis has taken funds from the known terror organization the "Tamil Tigers", according to the piece from the Chicago Tribune. Click the title bar to read the entire article.
While feigning ignorance of this violation of Federal law:

The five-term Democratic congressman said he was unaware that the Tigers paid for the trip and on his required congressional disclosure form he reported that the trip was paid for by a Hickory Hills, Ill.-based Tamil cultural organization, the Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America.

The congressman also admitted:

"I knew that they were associated with the Tamil Tigers, yes," he said.

Lucky for us the Dems are "strong on terror".

Maybe We Are Wasting Our Time Trying To "Save Iraq"

In this piece from My Way News, the savages in Iraq have shown they may not be ready for civilized living. Click the title bar to read how Iraqi looters have torn into a base that was turned over to Iraqi authorities by the British.
With such acts, how can we say the people over there are really ready for Democratic living? The only thing that seems to work in the Middle East is power and threats.

Judge In Wiretap Case Has Conflict Of Interest Issues

Click the title bar for this press release from Judicial Watch. The judge who ruled against the wiretap program last week has a big problem:

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and judicial abuse, announced today that Judge Anna Diggs Taylor, who last week ruled the government’s warrantless wiretapping program unconstitutional, serves as a Secretary and Trustee for a foundation that donated funds to the ACLU of Michigan, a plaintiff in the case (ACLU et. al v. National Security Agency). Judicial Watch discovered the potential conflict of interest after reviewing Judge Diggs Taylor’s financial disclosure statements.

Sounds like a clear case of conflict of interest. Perhaps the judge can be removed from the bench for failing to recuse herself from the case.

Security Council Resolution In Lebanon

I've been letting everybody else blog for a while, as I have been attending to a lot of personal business.
But this UN resolution to stop the destruction of Hizbollah has me pissed off. The idea that any UN force (short of the Americans and British) being able to make an impact in this confrontation is ludicrous.
Now the Lebanese army is balking at going into the areas in question, because they don't want to piss off their buddies, the terrorists.
Sounds a lot like Neville Chamberlain in 1938. He negotiated a treaty with Nazi Germany that was broken a year later, with the German invasion of Poland.
At the time, the know nothings were touting Chamberlain, and his statement that there would be "Peace In Our Time". The amount of time was slightly more than 12 months, if I remember my history.
So now Hizbollah has time to re-arm and regroup. It waits for Iran to send more supplies and weapons to replace those destroyed by the Israelis. Iran will be there. Count on it.
Maybe by the next conflict the terrorists will have some sort of WMD. My feeling is it would be some sort of "dirty bomb". Radiation filled containers, detonated by a large blast of explosives. The radioactive materials would be provided by Iran, as part of its "peaceful" nuclear program.
Click the title bar for the entire UN Resolution. Hat tip to Tammy Bruce. Read the ridiculous words of the UN, and wonder what Fantasyland they are living in.

Wonderful Piece On Today's Wars, With The World War Two Perspective

I was sent this via email. It is basically what my writing here has been about since I started this blog. Please click the title bar and read a comprehensive analysis (it contains a few small errors) of why we need to stay in the fight in Iraq, and against Islamo Fascism.
