Illegals Finally Becoming Targets Of Local Police
In news that I feel is long overdue, there has been a trend recently by local police authorities to begin immigration arrests througout the country. While not wide spread enough for me, it's a step in the right direction. I particularly like the part about high bail:
"...Marianne Yang, director of the Immigrant Defense Project of the New York State Defenders Association, a lawyers' group, said a recurring problem for immigrants, legal and illegal, is the high bail set for them if they are arrested, no matter how minor the crime."
In the past the illegals have been able to disappear after being released. Now the Immigration Enforcement people have time to grap them while still behind bars.
Read the piece, and then let your local authorities know what you think.
I'll be back
